Lake of Bays
is made up of three unique communities; Baysville, Dorset and Dwight along with a
number of waterfront and rural areas that together provide a wide range of
settlement and commercial opportunities.
The current
economy is primarily driven by tourism, recreation and the service sector with
some forestry. The area boasts a warm and friendly permanent population of 3,000
people. The seasonal population increases to 18,000.
Encompassing
approximately 163,083 acres, the area is an outdoor enthusiasts paradise. The
stunning, rolling landscape is perfect for cyclists, snowmobilers, cross-country
skiers and hikers.
